Hallo! This is Fanta Tadess

I am an ethiopian living in Awassa,Ethiopia. currntly, I am working in the south Ethiopia transport divission, in the depatement of drivers and road safety. I realy enjoy working in that departement, although it is challenging. I wish to contribuit some thing posetively that may change the exising situation in regard to issuing driving license in South Ethiopia .Thus it is a great opportunity for me to be here in Kuleuven to deal with production of avlm.I wish I could develop avlm that satisfies my need.

For me, I produce learning materials for all distance learning students yet they are3/4 of the university students. I should be an expert when I go back home to produce quality AVLM. expectaions from the training

I expect to learn alot from this traing. I should demonstrat this to other colleagus back home,thus I have to build enough knowledge on:-
- how to take good vidio/pictures ,
- digitalize old pictures already exist in analogue system,
- edit this material and prepare them for educational purpose , - know how to comperess picturs/vidios
- how to mix(syncronize) audio and pictures
- how to creat animation and use for education purpose and make flash
- able to use some softwars that help in pruduction of AV materials.
Although these are what I expect to learn, this course seems to me very compressed. It seems to me that each chapter in the content may take weeks to properly manage the activities.Thus it look intensive work is vital.

Project profile

Here is my interest to create a drivers training material
The intention of this project is to produce a learning material that suit people aged 18 + and with different educational profile(low level to …..). A LM that would catch the attention of audience by combining audio, video and animation in a flash and possibly an interactive one. This infact is a CD ROM besed one. So that trainers at different trainig institute will use it to train drivers .So far I have developed storybord that my show how things on my project proceed and what it should looks at the end, but I think it it requiers alot of inputs to develop it in to LM.

How I find the training

As a person envolved in training activities I found the audio visual learnig materials production and manegenet courses well beyond my expectation. I actualy have taken the audio visual material production courses in my university education. By then the course concentrates on production of learning materal from local equipments, and how to properly use "teaching aids" usauly visual material to support the learnig process.
But this time every thing has changed . I come across many new words which I should acustom to :to list few the blackbord learning system,toledo, resolution and the like...
so in order to catch up my self with the technology and use atleast some part of it for the inteneded purpose in my country.
Fainaly, I guss this traing will be one of the most important traing I have taken in recent years.
